The year is 2650, and humanity has reached the stars. Now that travel up and down the galactic arm can be accomplished in days, and humanity has colonized several inhabitable worlds and made alliances with multiple alien races, dating and marriage has started to take new forms. Whereas once, humans arranged marriages with members of foreign countries in their bids for love, the new craze is to do exactly that with citizens of other worlds—including compatible alien races.
Schoolteacher Moira Green never thought much of this bizarre fad, and argued strenuously against it when her diva younger sister, Tara, chose to betroth herself sight-unseen with an alien prince from planet Temporis. But a year has now passed with no word from Tara, and the prince in question, now king of Temporis, is back on the website announcing himself as “single and looking”. Unable to get answers from the Temporans, or help from the corrupt Earth government, Moira chooses to go to that strange, alien world herself, in order to investigate her sister’s disappearance. But her only means of doing this is to answer the King’s advertisement, and travel to his world as his new bride.
Determined Moira knows she is in over her head when she arrives, and discovers that due to a temporal anomaly surrounding the system, twenty-five years have passed on Temporis since Tara arrived—and then vanished. With no sign of Tara anywhere, Moira must search for her sister in secret—but there’s just one problem. The King, Brenn, is devastatingly attractive, incredibly hard to resist—and determined to win Moira’s heart. She wants to give in to his growing temptation…but how can she, when her sister is missing, and Brenn may be responsible?
