Girls left and right envied Brooklyn Cunningham. She was smart, rich, gorgeous, captain of her high school cheerleading squad, and one of the most popular girls in school. Above all, Brooklyn was hopelessly in love with Ace Warner, the talented and handsome star quarterback of the varsity football team. It was like her whole life had been spelled out for her. That was, until the end of senior year, when Brooklyn and Ace were forced to part ways.
11 years later, reality slaps Brooklyn in the face. She now works for one of the top investment firms on Wall Street, and though she was raking in the cash, she hates her job. To make matters worse, she is stuck in a shallow, dead-end relationship with an unambitious narcissist. The only thing keeping her sane is the small dance studio she runs on the other side of the city. Needless to say, this was nothing close to the life she had envisioned for herself as the bubbly, naive teenager she once was.
Meanwhile, Ace has moved on to the big leagues. He is now a quarterback for the New York Jets, and his wild, star-studded life is a far cry from the humble household he once grew up in. Sadly, it didn’t take long for the fast life to consume him whole. In fact, his partying and shenanigans had gotten so bad that he had been bumped down to second-string. Washed up and on the brink of depression, Ace flits from one good time to another, and is on a fast track to rock bottom.
As fate would have it, after more than a decade, the pair’s paths cross once more. But like the love they shared in high school, it seems as if every force of nature is determined to keep them apart. An untimely death triggers one scandal after another, awakening old wounds and creating new ones. In time, when all questions are answered, will their love be strong enough to conquer all?
