Twenty-two year old Shelby Carleton is in Detroit attending a specialized driving school intended to train police officers the art of high speed chases. Shelby, coming from an unsavoury background that includes street racing, has finally found her dream job at the school that lives up to its nickname, Adrenaline Rush.
Her dream comes to a screeching halt when her trouble-magnet brother Travis needs her to come home to their small town in rural Michigan. He’s supposed to be running the family garage, repairing cars and not getting into problems, but somehow trouble always finds him. Shelby doesn’t want to leave Adrenaline Rush or her boyfriend, who’s also attending the school, but with their parents dead and her other brother in Alaska, Shelby is the only family Travis has left.
This time Travis might have found more trouble than Shelby can handle, but she’s driven to put things right and return to her dream– she just has to keep away from street racing, stay out of the arms of her former lover, and put a stop to a couple of brothers hell-bent on ruining her family.
